What we collect

When you use Rucky we store the information you and your organizers provide: account email (for sign-in and notifications), optional profile details (such as name and phone number), group memberships, event signups (including waitlist and payment status), guest names when added to events, and notes you attach to payment requests or organizer requests.

How we use it

We use this data to run the product: show schedules and RSVPs, let organizers manage rosters and balances, send transactional email and SMS (for example sign-in codes and event-related messages), and process organizer access requests. We do not sell your personal information.

SMS / Text messages

Rucky may send SMS text messages to phone numbers you provide, including event reminders, confirmations, waitlist updates, and other transactional messages related to your pickup sports groups.

• Opt-in: By providing your phone number during account creation or profile setup, you explicitly agree to receive transactional SMS messages from Rucky App. Organizers may also add your number when setting up your profile, at which point the same consent applies.
• Opt-out: Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe from SMS notifications. You will receive a confirmation and no further messages will be sent.
• Help: Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or email us at ruckytester@gmail.com.
• Message frequency: Varies based on event activity in your groups. Typically a few messages per event.
• Rates: Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier and plan.
• No marketing SMS: We do not send promotional or marketing text messages. All SMS are transactional and directly related to your event activity.
• No sharing: Your phone number is never sold or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Push notifications

If you opt in to browser or app push notifications, we store your device's push subscription token in order to deliver event alerts. You can revoke this permission at any time in your browser or device settings, and your subscription token will be removed when it expires or is revoked.

Cookies & sessions

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to remember preferences (such as which group you last viewed). You can sign out at any time from the app header.

Service providers

The app is hosted on Vercel, data is stored in Supabase, email is sent through Resend, and SMS messages are delivered through Twilio. Those providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and security practices.

Payments

Many groups pay outside the app (for example Zelle or Venmo). Rucky may record who paid, how much was reported, and organizer confirmations for group balances. We do not store full card numbers or payment credentials.

Data retention

We retain your account data and event history for as long as your account is active. If you would like your data removed, contact us at ruckytester@gmail.com and we will delete your account and associated records.
